21+ Adults only. Gambling can be addictive, play responsibly. العربية

Responsible gambling

Gambling is a form of paid entertainment, not a way to make money. Over the long run the odds always favor the platform.

Legal reminder: gambling is criminalized under the Iraqi Penal Code and in most states of the region, and penalties can apply. This site is informational only and is intended for adults 21 and over.

Signs that play has stopped being entertainment

You play with money needed for essentials. You chase losses with more play. You hide how much you play from family. You borrow to play. You feel anxious or guilty after playing. If even one of these applies, take it seriously now, before it grows.

Practical controls

Set a monthly amount you never exceed, and treat losses as the already-paid price of the entertainment. Never play with borrowed money or family money. Most licensed platforms have built-in tools: deposit limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion. Turn them on in account settings before you need them.

Where to get help

Gambling Therapy (gamblingtherapy.org): free worldwide online support, with Arabic-language content and support.

GamCare (gamcare.org.uk): self-assessment tools and free resources in English.

And if you have a doctor or mental health professional you trust: these are medically recognized disorders with effective treatment, and talking to a professional is a strong step, not a weakness.
